I recently purchased my absolute dream scanner, a Hasselblad/Imacon Flextight 949.
I chose it over a Fuji Frontier SP-3000, which I had used for the majority of my work until recently. While the Frontier SP-3000 is favored for its speed, consistency, and ease of use in a lab environment, Flextight scanners are renowned for their high resolution, higher color accuracy, dynamic range, and bit depth, leading to richer and more precise color reproduction, as well as better shadow and highlight details.
